What's That?

The new Arizona immigration law has everyone talking. This past week we found out that although our politicians haven’t actually read the law, they have very strong opinions about it. Our Attorney General Holder came before Congress and admitted that he hadn’t actually read the law, and this was after he indicated that the Feds were going to sue the state of Arizona for enacting the law. Rod Serling from Twilight Zone fame couldn’t even make this stuff up. So let me see if I’ve got this straight. The federal government has an immigration law that says they can stop anyone at any time for any reason and ask to see their “papers”, but they choose not to enforce this law. Arizona passes a law that says if they catch someone committing a crime and find out they are illegal, they can and will arrest them and somehow this is discriminatory. So if the Feds can choose which laws to enforce and which ones not to enforce it would seem to me that we are no longer a nation of laws, but of men. If the Feds can choose to ignore enforcement of certain laws, does that mean that I can choose to ignore adhering to certain laws? Do I get to choose? I think I’m getting dizzy. Well, here’s Ray Stevens who always seems to put things in their proper context. Enjoy! Ray's New Video
