Up North

When you hear "up north" what do you think? I spent this morning at Bandana Square finishing up my continuing education for the year. The subject today was vacation homes. Here's an interesting stat: Lake shore property in Minnesota has risen 4% since 2005. In general home prices in the twin cities metro area has lost 40% of value in the same time period. It would appear we like to be on the water. I've been fortunate to have always lived near water. I grew up on the north shore of lake Superior and now live on the Mississippi river. There really is something about water that feeds the soul as well as the body.
